Two Cents Tuesday

Today’s Two Cents Tuesday is about not waiting…particularly when it comes to renovating your house or something in your house. Now, I’m not telling you to spend money that you don’t have.  I’m saying if you have been waiting and planning and saving, what are you waiting for?  I have a friend who fixed up rooms in his house to sell it and then was upset that he never got to enjoy it himself.  So I’m saying if you are planning to fix up something anyways, just do it.  Enjoy your new house, new room, new bathroom, new whatever!  Even if it’s a little project, stop putting it off and enjoy!

This is a story about our bathroom.  I have hated our bathroom since the moment we moved in.  It was gross and pink and was never clean even though I was on my hands and knees scrubbing it.  We finally just sucked it up and re-did it and I am SO happy we did!  I love it so much!!

Here are some before (sorry they were taken with my point and shoot) and afters:

And here are just some pretty pictures of it!! And I just have to brag a bit.   Our floors are heated!  You can program the thermostat to turn on at a certain time and turn off at a certain time.

See the OUTLET!!  My bathroom never had one before (it’s the little things!).  Our toilet has two handles for different water levels and the lid closes automatically!  The fan also turns on by itself when the humidity reaches a certain level.  We LOVE the farmhouse sink look.  My husband, Aaron, built the vanity himself just using directions he found online.  The mirror is awesome and recessed  in the wall so there’s ton of storage behind it.

We are obsessed with the rain shower.  It is nice to have the option to switch to the regular shower though to use for Paisley when she’s in the bath.

Our bathroom was designed by Aaron Arpasi, but more importantly demoed and constructed by Kyle Gerlach.  Let me know if you would like his info.  He is trustworthy and a hard worker and he clearly does awesome work!
