Luke and Laura’s June wedding was just wonderful at West River Center. Luke and Laura were just beaming with excitement and love for each other. They went from meeting on E-Harmony, to dinner at Strapazzas for their first date to a scavenger hunt around Towson when they got engaged. I have just loved the time that I have spent with them because they are so smitten with each other and clearly head over heels. Not only that, they love each other’s passion for Jesus which is clearly the most important thing in their marriage.
So the week before the wedding, we were all stalking the weather and the forecast was rain…rain all day long. I collected my umbrellas and was ready for the monsoon, but surprisingly there was only a mist for the majority of the pictures. We lucked on that, but didn’t luck out electricity in Laura’s parents’ house! When I arrived, there was half of the house with no electricity and the other half of the house was running on a generator! It was crazy, but the girls were total rock stars and Laura was so calm…just ready to get married!
The rings tied onto Laura’s bouquet were her grandmother’s. I thought that was such a special touch!Time to get the dress on! It was a group effort for sure. When we first started the pictures, the rain was coming down, but Laura’s parents’ house made for super cute pictures! The rain let up and we were able to get some pictures in the front yard…which was absolutely gorgeous (and so were the girls!).I LOVE this one!Laura was such a gorgeous bride, just radiating!I left the girls and drove over to West River Camp to go meet the guys! After getting some pictures of Luke, it was time for Luke and Laura’s first glance…I LOVE a great first glance, and their’s was SO special. LOVE this one!One benefit of rain is some wind…it moved the veil so elegantly and beautifully. I loved the colors, the soft pink pastels with the baby’s breath was just the perfect touch. Luke and Laura spent so much time on all the details for their wedding day. As I was getting ready for the ceremony, I peeked over and saw Luke reading a letter from Laura. It was such a touching moment and I’m so glad I was able to capture it!Married!!!This smile was on Laura’s face ALL day!! It was the best!Luke and Laura, you two are the best!
