One of the best part about the holidays is getting to be with family. This holiday season I was so lucky to get to capture so many different families that don’t get to see each other all the time. It is SUCH a great idea to do an extended family shoot especially when your family lives all across the United States. With our world as it is today, you just never know what is going to happen tomorrow. I highly recommend getting an extended family shoot…I’m actually planning mine with all my brothers in my head as I type. Hear that boys?? Get ready for your close up! Anyways, my friend Kara (who now lives in North Carolina) was going to be visiting her family here in Maryland. I just want to give a quick shout out to Kara, we went to school together and now she is 2018 National Teacher of the Year Finalist and 2018 DoDEA State Teacher of the Year! How amazing is that? Teachers work SO incredibly hard and I’m so proud to know Kara! Kara’s sister and family were also in town so we were able to get the entire family captured including the first grandson, Roland. Kara’s parents live in Southern Maryland so we met at Kinder Farm Park in Millersville. If you haven’t been to Kinder Farm, you need to go immediately. Even though it was December and a little windy and cold, the light was incredible and I’m so glad we got to capture this sweet family!
Roland wasn’t use to the cold weather so his mama, Kasey, was trying to get him to smile for the camera and I thought it was just such a sweet moment. Had to grab this pic of Kara taking a selfie of the whole family!! So fun guys! Thanks for freezing for some pics, hope you love them!
