The Wedding
This Eagle’s Nest Country Club wedding could not have been more perfect, from beginning to end. The weather was perfect…it was the only somewhat cool day that we’ve had all summer. You could feel the energy and happiness surrounding the bride and groom from all their family and friends. Roman and Kelsey were giddy with excitement and obviously know how to celebrate (you will see what I mean when you get to the reception pictures)!

About the Couple
Kelsey and Roman met at Wheaton College at the birthday party of one of their friends. Their first date consisted of going to the zoo and afterwards getting donuts at Bb’s Baby Donuts. I obviously need to try these the next time I visit Chicago. These donuts are apparently so good that Roman took Kelsey back there to propose. Kelsey and Roman love to be together whether they are reading, dancing, cooking, exercising or just hanging out with Kelsey’s nephews who also live in Chicago.
Even though I’m sure Chicago is awesome, I’m so glad that they came to Maryland to get married. Fun little fact, Kelsey’s sister also had her getting ready pictures at their parents house and her wedding reception at Eagle’s Nest Country Club. It was such an amazing day and I can’t wait to show you the pictures! I hope you like them and can feel the happiness in photos.

Getting Ready
When your childhood home is the getting ready place for all and entertainment for your nephews, this is what it looks like! I love it!

First Glance
I don’t think I’ve ever had another bride and groom who were more excited to see each other. They were just giddy with emotion…I absolutely loved their first glance!!!

The Ceremony
After getting the pictures done at Kelsey’s parents’ house we headed to Central Presbyterian Church for the ceremony. I love that Roman still got emotional seeing Kelsey walk down he aisle. Such a special moment!

The Reception
The reception was held at Eagle’s Nest Country Club in Phoenix, MD. I love the simplicity of the geometric centerpieces and gold accents. It was so pretty!

Dinner Hour Photos
Luckily during dinner, I was able to grab Kelsey and Roman for a few more portraits. This is why it’s always good to trust your photographer! We had time during cocktail hour but the lighting was pretty harsh. Taking the photos during dinner allowed us to be able to see the gorgeous views of Eagle’s Nest Country Club.

Back to the Party!
Keep an eye out for the amazing white jumpsuit that Kelsey changed into before the send-off. It was EPIC!

Omg, I LOVE her dress and shoes! Genius, girl! This looked like such a fun wedding to photograph!
I seriously love everything about this wedding! And especially the photo of her showing off her pink nikes after the first look! Great moment.
That dress is EVERYTHING. I also love how absolutely beautiful and glamorous she looks, but how she also clearly didn’t sacrifice comfort (yay for nikes and no train!) Best of both worlds!
I don’t know which I love more – that dress, her kicks, the anemones in her bouquet, or the incredible golden light in those Eagles Nest portraits!! But their love outshines it all – beautiful captures!
