Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Wedding | Nicole & Joe

Nicole and Joe

Nicole and Joe met in the summer of 2013.   A friend of Nicole’s brought Joe to her parent’s house for a fourth of July party she was throwing. They continued  to have their paths crossed throughout the next two years before they went on their first date.  Joe came to Nicole’s house in Federal Hill after work to hang and saw that there was an Oriole’s game.  He bought a couple of tickets on a whim…they were right behind the dugout and they had an amazing time watching the game.

Joe proposed on a romantic walk along the East Port Bridge in Annapolis (where they had their engagement photos).  He had his college graduation that morning and they planned to go to dinner with his parents that evening to celebrate.  What Nicole didn’t know is that when they went to dinner her parent’s were there to celebrate their engagement as well!  After that, they went to a bar and Joe had organized for their closest friends to be there!  I think their proposal story is a perfect example of how much they value not only each other, but their family and friends.

Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Wedding

2018 wedding season in Maryland has been nothing but rain.  It has rained in the spring, summer and fall so far.  Joe and Nicole’s wedding day had 100% chance of rain all day long, so it wasn’t looking like they would be able to get married outside on the beautiful grounds of the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay like they had expected.  Luckily, heavy rain switched to light rain and that switched to a mist.  They were able to use the pavilion area for their ceremony and they braved the chilly temperatures for their photos….I know they will be so happy they did!

Despite the overcast weather, their day was filled with so much love and emotions.  You could tell that they have such a close knit group of family and friends.  Both Nicole and Joe had their siblings in the wedding party and each parent played a special role in the day as well.  Nicole had a very emotional walk down the aisle where there wasn’t a dry eye in the place.  Some other moments that really stood out to me through the day was when Nicole involved every single family member in her getting ready (even Grandma put on her earrings),  when Joe wiped away Nicole’s tears during the ceremony, when Nicole brought her mom out to dance to “This Girl is On Fire” by Alicia Keys and when a groomsmen danced so much he ripped his pants!

Nicole and Joe thank you so much for having me, your wedding was so beautiful and I hope you can relive that special day through these photos.

Time to go get married!!

When the bride says…now everyone throw your bouquet up in the air, and your bridesmaid takes it literally…HAHA!  We all got a good laugh!

You know you were having a good time when you rip your pants!!Thanks so much to these vendors who made Nicole and Joe’s day possible!
